A house with room for different routines

Baan Khun Nang Colonial Residence is a two-storey whole-house rental in Mae Nam, Koh Samui. The host lists four bedrooms, three bathrooms and capacity for eight guests.

Guests describe access to Mae Nam’s shops, restaurants and beach. For a group considering a longer visit, that neighbourhood access matters alongside the bedroom count: it determines how easily people can make different plans during the day.

How the house is arranged

Living, cooking and dining areas are downstairs; bedrooms are upstairs. The master has an en-suite bathroom, while another bathroom is on an outdoor balcony. Establish whether that arrangement suits everyone in the group.

The pool belongs to a shared setting

The lap pool, Jacuzzi and children’s pool are shared with neighbouring houses, rather than reserved exclusively for this booking.

Theresa’s July 2025 account, describing a family of six, praised the pool and said it was often quiet enough for the group to have it to themselves. That is a pleasant experience of shared facilities, rather than a different pool entitlement. She also appreciated the space, desk and bedroom air conditioning.

Cooling, cooking and comfort

Cathy, writing in January 2026, liked the grounds, pool, location and helpful team, but wanted more cooling around the kitchen and found the self-catering equipment less suited to Western-style cooking. Theresa had similarly found the downstairs warmer than the bedrooms in July 2025, though manageable with a fan.

The host lists living-room air conditioning, but the guests’ reports make actual cooling worth discussing. Ask about the kitchen equipment too if preparing meals is central to the holiday.

A supported but independent stay

The host describes code-box entry, online support and weekly cleaning. Additional cleaning and laundry have separate arrangements. Settle those details before arrival, especially for a longer stay.

Baan Khun Nang’s appeal is the opportunity for a group to stay together in Mae Nam. Recent guests enjoyed the space and location; downstairs heat and kitchen practicality are the clearest qualifications in their accounts.
