Dreamcaught Tree House: a riverside retreat with accommodation choices to check

A rural Mae Taeng setting appeals through nature and personal hosting, while the exact treehouse layout deserves careful confirmation.

A countryside address in Mae Taeng

Dreamcaught Tree House is at 55 Moo 2, Mueang Kai, Mae Taeng, in Chiang Mai province. The mountain and riverside setting is the main reason to consider it. This is countryside accommodation, so an itinerary based on Chiang Mai city sightseeing needs separate transport planning.

The owner-host, Sakchai, describes a mixture of treehouse accommodation, a riverfront villa, marquee tents and camping. The name alone therefore does not establish the room you will receive. Choose the actual accommodation category before comparing prices.

Clarify the treehouse you are booking

The Airbnb room listing describes one bed with a shared bathroom, while the host biography describes a whole treehouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Those are materially different arrangements. Ask whether the offer is for a room or the whole structure, and whether the bathroom is shared or private.

The host also describes a refrigerator, mosquito net and wraparound river deck, plus breakfast and parking. Wi-Fi is described in common areas and some rooms. Check these against the specific unit, especially if reliable in-room internet is essential.

What earlier guests enjoyed

A couple who stayed in February 2013, reviewing in March, found the resort peaceful and the staff friendly. Fresh food and coffee, village walks and visits to local tea houses formed part of their positive account. This describes a visit built around the surrounding rural setting rather than a packed hotel entertainment programme.

In a January 2016 review, Ms_Moki described a small resort in nature between Chiang Mai and Pai, with a welcoming owner and staff. The reviewer considered it useful for exploring the countryside. Both accounts are historical: they explain the property’s appeal to those guests, without establishing present room condition or service consistency.

Prepare for an outdoor setting

The host advises warm clothing for cool evenings from December to March, rain gear from July to mid-October and insect repellent during the day. Transfers from Chiang Mai and guided visits are described as arrangements available at extra cost; agree availability and price directly.

Dreamcaught’s attraction is its distinctive rural accommodation and riverside setting. Its most consequential booking question is equally specific: which structure, bed and bathroom are included? Resolve that before committing to the treehouse experience suggested by the name.
